Have you ever been on a tropical vacation, but felt like something was missing during the long hours spent on the beach? Do you wander around the water’s edge, contemplating what types of creatures call the space home? It’s time to change your intrigue into exciting adventure, and see why scuba diving is such an addictive sport.
Whether you want to explore your local lakes and waterways, or are preparing for an upcoming trip to the tropics, scuba diving opens doors to an entirely new world. Just imagine, beautiful corals, colorful fish, delicate plants – all found in an underwater environment that elegantly moves to its own rhythm.
For first-timers, scuba diving can be intimidating, which is why taking the PADI Open Water Diver Course is the perfect way to learn the skills to get certified so you can explore underwater worlds no matter where you live or travel.
The class is a great way to build confidence and learn a healthy hobby, plus you’re sure to make plenty of new friends. You might even find a dive group to join – but beware, your social calendar is likely to fill up fast!
The PADI Open Water Diver course has three main phases:
- Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom ) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined Water Dives (like in a pool) to learn basic scuba skills
- Open Water Dives (in the ocean or other body of water) to review your skills and explore
The feeling you get as you breathe comfortably under water for the first time is incredible. As the bubbles tickle your face and your body experiences the sensation of being virtually weightless, every one of your senses is stimulated. You’ll learn about important equipment and how to move while submerged, so you’re ready when you head to your dive site.
Get closer to Mother Nature, and learn how to scuba dive in a PADI Open Water Diver course. Life above water may never be the same.
