PADI Sidemount Diver Course

While the traditional backmounted configuration of carrying tanks on your back is common, it can sometimes be restrictive and uncomfortable for some divers. This is where the PADI Sidemount Diver course comes in, offering a more comfortable and streamlined alternative.

Diving Star in Hurghada is proud to offer this innovative course, where you’ll learn to dive using a sidemount configuration, where the tanks are attached to your sides. This setup reduces drag and makes diving easier for those who have difficulty lifting or walking with a backmounted tank. It also makes it easier for technical divers who need to carry extra cylinders.

Over the course of two days, you’ll get hands-on experience setting up a sidemount configuration, dealing with it in the water, and practicing in confined and open water sessions. Our experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way, ensuring that you leave the course as a confident and competent sidemount diver.

In addition to the hands-on training, the course fee of 330€ per student includes a PADI manual and certification costs, so you can leave the course as a certified PADI Sidemount Diver. For an additional fee of 60€, you can have access to all the necessary equipment. The price also includes transportation from any hotel within the area, as well as lunch on board and drinks such as tea, coffee, and water.
